The hub, run by Colchester City Council in partnership with Spokesafe is located in Portal Precinct, just off Sir Isaac’s Walk,
The centre of the city already has more than 100 bike parking spaces on sheffield stands. These can be good if you use a Sold Secure lock.– but the new centre offers a lot more security including a unique key-code entry and CCTV.
The hub provides a secure place for people to park their bikes in the city centre, It is operated by Spokesafe on behalf of Colchester City Council. Spokesafe runs several similar hubs across Britain. The opening times are 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. There are several membership options available, including pay-as-you-go bookings from £1 a day. Weekly and monthly memberships are cheaper. Access is instantly available to any member of the community via the Spokesafe app. Photo ID is required for sign-ups on the app. Visit the Spokesafe website to find out more
